The Millcraft Paper Company was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1920 by Harold Keil as a privately held wholesale paper merchandiser/distributor. He built Millcraft’s business philosophy on a foundation of honesty and respect, which is carried on today by current owner, his granddaughter, Katherine Mlakar and her family. Katherine McKinney Mlakar represents the third generation of women to own Millcraft. This diversity was finally recognized in 2005, when Millcraft was nationally certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council, WBENC, as a woman-owned business. Over the last few years, Kay Mlakar has become a vocal proponent for female owned companies and has become widely acknowledged for her efforts. Millcraft has been recognized as one of the top 100 woman-owned companies in the United States.
Through acquisition and expansion, The Millcraft Group has grown over the years and is now comprised of several entities which work in concert to provide customers with the best
service possible:
- Millcraft - merchant of fine printing paper and envelopes
- Deltacraft - a converter which provides custom sizes of paper and board grades
- Infocraft - a registered Microsoft partner who works with trading partners to leverage technology in order to cut costs and improve supply chain efficiencies
- Millcraft Express Envelope - an envelope converting and service company
Together these companies are committed to being a passionate company that is driven by the unique needs of its customers. Millcraft has over 250 employees in more than 14
locations (and growing) in several states including six retail paper stores.
